Welcome all!

We are off to a great start building a strong community of Backyard Barterers!! I wanted to give everyone a few helpful tips for navigating the system and encourage everyone to give me feedback on how the site is working for them. If you find anything difficult to use, or think you may know of a better way to do something, please don't hesitate to contact me at connect2barter@gmail.com.

Here are a few helpful tips:

1) The more info you put in the empty text box on your profile page about what you are doing in your garden/kitchens, the more likely someone will start a conversation with you about bartering.

2) If you've picked "other" as something that you're offering, make sure to explain what the "other" is on your page. If you have pictures of the "other" that is also helpful. 

3) Please invite your friends! This bartering site is absolutely the "more the merrier".

4) Also, please check out our "resources" tab and e-mail us with more suggestions of things to add including your favorite gardening books, blogs, and gardening classes.
