Comment by Angela Fondale on February 16, 2012 at 4:40pm I have more seed potatoes than I can use. We recently moved from Auburn/Green River Valley with a micro climate slightly warmer than Seattle where we've been cultivating these varieties for the last four years. We planted a fall crop in our new Arbor Heights home (cool winds/partial sun) in late July and harvested in October. They handled the new conditions wonderfully. I'm lousy at tracking the variety names, but we have Yukons, Russets, a red variety, and a purple variety.
We usually planted as soon as the ground was dry enough to work, then pulled a few small potatoes in mid-July from the spring planting to start a second bed for a fall crop we harvested in October.
I'm primarily seeking tomato seeds/starts that have been cultivated in cooler climates, but open to all kinds of offers.
